Courtney
Virginia Fox

LMSW, M.Ed.

Hello! My name is Courtney Virginia (she/they). I’m a queer social worker with a background in
music and movement practices. I was drawn to a career in social work to better support queer
folks and young people in their healing journeys.

I majored in music in college, and then worked with youth programs around the east coast. I
returned to graduate school for social work and graduated from the Silberman School of Social
Work at Hunter in 2022. I completed a specialty in Gender and Sexuality, and worked on a year-
long capstone project on the prevention of eating disorders in LGBTQ+ youth populations.

Currently, I work with Queer Therapy NYC and am supervised by Liam Cudmore. I actively
pursue ongoing training on topics relating to concerns that my clients share, specifically related
to eating disorders, sex-positive therapy, bodily autonomy, and harm-reduction approaches.

When I’m not working, you can find me reading a book, getting outside, or hanging out with my
dogs!
